As part of the “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” Campaign, the Guangdong Education Base of Party and National History was inaugurated at Chung Ying Street Museum, Yantian District July 1. 150 people attended the event, including Yao Xinyao, director of the campaign, Yuan Huyong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yantian District Committee and students and teachers from the Donghe Campus of Yantian Foreign Languages Primary School.

The event was hosted to celebrate the 70th birthday of the P.R.C. under the guidance of President Xi Jinping on the work to educate the next generation. The base will engage in the promotion of Party and national history to boost the morality of the young, preparing them for the New Era. Yantian District will also integrate its program with the “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” Campaign of Shenzhen by employing senior Party members to give talks at government bodies, schools and communities.

Yuan stated that the Chung Ying Street Museum should serve its role as an education base of Party and national history to boost the morality of the younger generation. He hoped members of the “Five Groups” would continue to pass on the Party’s aspiration and the youth would learn from our national history voluntarily.

Yao urged the district to take full advantage of the Chung Ying Street Museum for further programs of patriotic education.

“Although the Chung Ying Street Museum is not large in scale, it displays bountiful pictures and items reflecting the history of the street throughout the past century, which witnessed the journey of Chinese people resisting against foreign invasions.”said Zhang Yiyi, a third grader from the Donghe Campus of Yantian Foreign Languages Primary School who said he would bear in mind the history and study harder to contribute to the motherland.
